BIM Modelling & Computational Solutions
On behalf of the Developer, Brains Digital created the BIM modelling of the asset’s actual state, based on a high-definition digital survey, in order to support the design, the worksite planning and the exchange of information with the Superintendent. In accordance with the strategy defined by the Developer, the modelling was completed with a high level of geometrical details and was provided with a parametric information folder defined specifically for managing the procurement, the worksite activities and the handmade production of joineries and finishes. Tailored computational design algorithms supported the modelling of complex geometries.
The project provides for the residential redevelopment of an historical complex built over various centuries and including the Palazzo d’Harchourt, designed in the 17th century by Filippo Castelli. The building, located in Turin’s historical centre, is laid out on five floors above the ground and three underneath, for a total gross surface of about 10,800 sqm.
